Originally founded in 1996 during the early years of the Web, The Webbys are presented by the judging organization International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), with more than 3,000 members. Along with Associate Members who are former Webby Winners, Nominees, and other Internet professionals, the Academy features Executive Members including renowned Internet experts, corporate leaders, visionaries, creative celebrities, and other Internet professionals. Reflecting the explosive expansion of the Internet, The Webbys notes excellence across a broad spectrum of categories, including websites, mobile sites, video, film, advertising, media, PR, apps, software, social media, podcasts, artificial intelligence, immersive experiences, games, and a recently introduced dedicated suite of honors for creators. The Webby Awards have been a trademark of creativity and success on the Internet for almost three decades.
